After having acupuncture treatment many people find their energy levels are better, they have an increased appetite, feel sleepy, have reduced pain, sleep better at night, and are less stressed and anxious.
However, not everyone will experience and feel the same thing. This is because everyone is different and expresses feelings in a slightly different way.
Can you feel the needles in acupuncture?
When the acupuncture needle is inserted into the body, you may feel a dull ache, tingling, electrical sensation or a sharp prick. In acupuncture these sensations are known as 'de qi', which means the energy in the acupuncture point has been activated by the needle. A sharp prick is the needle tip not piercing the skin as smoothly as it should do.
What it feels like when you get acupuncture?
Once the acupuncture needles have all been inserted into the body, you may feel heaviness in the limbs or a pleasant feeling of relaxation. Some people can go into a deep state of relaxation and even sleep.
Can acupuncture cause neuropathy?
No acupuncture cannot cause neuropathy. In actual fact, acupuncture is able to treat neuropathy pain.
