Bell's Palsy occurs around 1 in 5,000 people. Bell's palsy is due to an inflammation of the facial nerve in the internal auditory canal. Onset is sudden and progresses quickly.
Symptoms include one sided facial paralysis, unable to blink and a dropped mouth.
