1. Overview
Peripheral neuropathy is a type of nerve problem that can cause numbness, pain, temperature changes and weakness.
2. Symptoms
Symptoms of peripheral neuropathy occur in the hands, arms or feet:
- Numbness and tingling
- Burning, stabbing or shooting pain
- Loss of balance and co-ordination
- Mmuscle weakness
3. Causes
Peripheral neuropathy is caused by restriction of nerve function, which in turn is caused by very tense muscles. Other cauess include physical damage to the nerve for example by chemotherapy or medications.
4. Treatment for peripheral neuropathy
Acupuncture is very good at treating peripheral neuropathy. I've treated many people with this condition with a good success rate.
