1. Overview
GB 42 — Dì Wǔ Huì (地五会) — is an acupuncture point on the Gallbladder meridian. Its English name, Earth Five Meetings, reflects the point’s classical character and location. It is used in acupuncture practice as part of channel-balancing prescriptions for a range of conditions.

2. Location
Between the fourth and fifth metatarsal bones, 1 cun above GB-43 Xiaxi

4. Indications
- Headache
- Itching. redness and pain of the eyes
- Tinnitus
- Deafness
- Swelling, redness and pain of the dorsum of the foot
- Lumbar pain
- Neuralgia of the foot
- Low back pain
- Fullness of the chest
5. Needling
Perpendicular insertion 0.3 to 0.8 cun. Note: incorrect will not allow the needle to pass between the shafts of the fourth and fifth metatarsal bones.
Important: Acupuncture should only be performed by a fully qualified practitioner. Never attempt self-needling. All needles I use are sterile, single-use and disposed of immediately after treatment in a clinical sharps container.
