3. Causes

There are various causes of digestive problems, including:

  1. Gluten
  2. Stress
  3. Excessive alcohol
  4. Poor diet
  5. Medications such as aspirin

4. Treatment for digestive disorders

Acupuncture can help people with stomach pain, heart burn and IBS.

Personally, I believe that with more chronic gastrointestinal disorders such as Chrohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, Chinese herbal medicine is more able to help than acupuncture alone.

Chinese herbal medicine is not often considered to treat digestive problems, yet it's very effective. It's been used for thousands of years to treat disorders of the spleen and stomach.
