How online video appointments work

Online consultations let you receive Chinese herbal medicine and health advice wherever you live in the UK or internationally. They take place over a video call, and any herbs prescribed are then posted to your address.

Step 1: Book an online appointment

Choose the Online (Zoom) option when you schedule your appointment. You will then receive a confirmation email containing the video link for your session.

Step 2: Prepare for your session

A little preparation helps us make the most of your time together:

  • Find a quiet, private space with a good internet connection.
  • Use a device with a working camera — a phone, tablet or computer is fine.
  • Sit somewhere with good natural light, as I may ask to see your tongue on camera.
  • Have a list of any medication and supplements you take, plus any recent test results, to hand.

Step 3: Your consultation

At the agreed time, open the link from your confirmation email to join the video call. We will go through your health history and current symptoms in detail. I may ask you to hold your tongue up to the camera, as the tongue is an important part of a Chinese medicine diagnosis.

Step 4: Your herbs are posted to you

If herbal medicine is appropriate, I formulate your bespoke prescription after the consultation and post it to you. Herbs are £35 per week within the UK and £45 per week within Europe. For patients in North America, herbs are posted from the USA; for those in Europe, they are posted from the Netherlands.

Payment is required at the time of scheduling your appointment. See how to pay for your treatment for details.
