LU 5 — Chǐ Zé (尺泽) — is an acupuncture point on the Lung meridian. Its English name, Cubit Marsh, reflects the point’s classical character and location. It is used regularly in acupuncture practice for a range of conditions.

6. Clinical notes
LU 5 is the He-Sea and Water point of the Lung meridian. He-Sea points clear Heat from the organ and descend rebellious Qi, making LU 5 the primary Lung point for excess and Heat patterns. It complements LU 9 (the tonifying Yuan-Source point) for deficiency patterns. Also used as a local point for lateral elbow conditions.
7. Treatment at my clinic
I use LU 5 as part of tailored acupuncture prescriptions for conditions including Allergies, Tennis elbow. Each treatment is individually designed following a full TCM assessment.
