1. Overview
PC 7 — Dà Líng (大陵) — is an acupuncture point on the Pericardium meridian. Its English name, Great Mound, reflects the point’s classical character and location. It is used regularly in acupuncture practice for a range of conditions.
I am Dr (TCM) Attilio D’Alberto, a member of the British Acupuncture Council with over 25 years of clinical experience. I practise at my clinic in Wokingham, Berkshire.

6. Clinical notes
PC 7 is the Yuan-Source, Shu-Stream and Earth point of the Pericardium. It provides a stronger Heat-clearing action than PC 6 and is used for excess Heart patterns. Its wrist location makes it important for carpal tunnel syndrome, combined with PC 6, LU 7 and LU 9.
7. Treatment at my clinic
I use PC 7 as part of tailored acupuncture prescriptions for conditions including Insomnia, Anxiety, Carpal tunnel syndrome. Each treatment is individually designed following a full TCM assessment.
