1. Overview
ST 27 — Dà Jù (大巨) — is an acupuncture point on the Stomach meridian. Its English name, The Great, reflects the point’s classical character and location. It is used in acupuncture practice as part of channel-balancing prescriptions for a range of conditions.

2. Location
On the lower abdomen, 2 cun lateral to the midline and 2 cun inferior to the umbilicus, level with REV-5 Shimen. Note the 2 cun line is located halfway between the midline and the palpable lateral border of the rectus abdominus muscle.

5. Needling
Perpendicular insertion 1 to 1.5 cun.
Important: Acupuncture should only be performed by a fully qualified practitioner. Never attempt self-needling. All needles I use are sterile, single-use and disposed of immediately after treatment in a clinical sharps container.
