Important: Acupuncture should only be performed by a fully qualified practitioner. All needles I use are sterile, single-use and disposed of in a clinical sharps container immediately after treatment.
6. Clinical notes
ST 8 is the most superior point on the Stomach meridian, located at the corner of the forehead. It is a meeting point of the Stomach and Gallbladder meridians. Combined with GB 8, Taiyang and GB 20 it forms the primary prescription for temporal-frontal headache and migraine. Transverse needling direction is essential — the galea aponeurotica prevents perpendicular insertion.
7. Treatment at my clinic
I use ST 8 as part of tailored acupuncture prescriptions for conditions including Headaches, Migraines. Each treatment is individually designed following a full TCM assessment.
