1. Overview
BL 30 — Bái Huán Shū (白环俞) — is an acupuncture point on the Bladder meridian. Its English name, White Ring Shu, reflects the point’s classical character and location. It is used in acupuncture practice as part of channel-balancing prescriptions for a range of conditions.

2. Location
1.5 cun lateral to the midline at the level of the fourth posterior sacral foramen BL-34 Bailiao.

4. Indications
- Pain of the lumbar spine and sacrum
- Lumbar pain due to Cold
- Pain in the lumbar region and hip
- Pain of the coccyx
- Debility of the leg and knee
- Contracted sinews associated with Bi syndrome
- Difficult urination
- Rectal prolapse
- Shan disorder
5. Needling
Perpendicular insertion 0.5 to 1 cun.
Important: Acupuncture should only be performed by a fully qualified practitioner. Never attempt self-needling. All needles I use are sterile, single-use and disposed of immediately after treatment in a clinical sharps container.
