1. Overview
ST 14 — Kù Fáng (库房) — is an acupuncture point on the Stomach meridian. Its English name, Storehouse, reflects the point’s classical character and location. It is used in acupuncture practice as part of channel-balancing prescriptions for a range of conditions.

2. Location
In the first intercostal space, 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline.
3. Actions
- Descends rebellious Qi
- Unbinds the chest
4. Indications
- A sensation of fullness and pain in the chest
- Distention and fullness of the chest and lateral costal region
- Intercostal neuralgia
- Anorexia
- Cough
- Coughing of pus and Blood
- Dyspnea
- Bronchitis
5. Needling
Puncture obliquely 0.3 to 0.5 cun.
Important: Acupuncture should only be performed by a fully qualified practitioner. Never attempt self-needling. All needles I use are sterile, single-use and disposed of immediately after treatment in a clinical sharps container.

ST 14 Kù Fáng (Storehouse) is used as part of channel-balancing prescriptions tailored to the patient’s individual TCM diagnosis.
