GB 37 — Guāng Míng (光明) — Bright Light
GB 37 (Guang Ming, “Bright Light”) is the Luo-connecting point of the Gallbladder channel. The name reflects its principal action of brightening the eyes — it is one of the most important distal points for visual disorders, particularly those involving Liver-Gallbladder pathology.

6. Clinical notes
For eye disorders, GB 37 is one of the principal distal points, typically combined with local eye points (BL 1, BL 2, Yu Yao, Tai Yang) and BL 18 (Liver back-shu). The Luo-connecting function links it to the Liver, harmonising the Liver-Gallbladder pair which jointly governs the eyes.
7. Treatment at my clinic
I use GB 37 within tailored acupuncture prescriptions for visual disorders, dry eye and ocular migraine. I see patients at my clinic in Wokingham, Berkshire.
