1. Overview
Jiā Chéng Jiāng (夹承浆) is a classical extra (non-channel) acupuncture point — Lateral to Chengjiang. It is used in acupuncture practice as part of channel-balancing prescriptions for a range of conditions.

2. Location
1 cun lateral to CV-24 Chengjiang, over the mental foramen.

4. Indications
- TRigeminal neuralgia
- Facial paralysis
- Facial pain
- Toothache
- Facial spasm
- Deviation of the mouth and eyes
- Swelling of the gums
- Jaundice
5. Needling
Straight insertion, 0.2 to 0.5 cun. Sensation: local distention and soreness.
Important: Acupuncture should only be performed by a fully qualified practitioner. Never attempt self-needling. All needles I use are sterile, single-use and disposed of immediately after treatment in a clinical sharps container.
