1. Overview
GB 14 — Yáng Bái (阳白) — is an acupuncture point on the Gallbladder meridian. Its English name, Yang White, reflects the point’s classical character and location. It is used regularly in acupuncture practice for a range of conditions.

2. Location
On the forehead, 1 cun directly above the midpoint of the eyebrow.
3. Actions

4. Indications
- Frontal headache and supraorbital pain
- Bell's palsy — restores movement to the upper face
- Drooping eyelid (ptosis)
- Eye pain and blurred vision
5. Needling
Transverse insertion 0.5–0.8 cun.
Important: Acupuncture should only be performed by a fully qualified practitioner. All needles I use are sterile, single-use and disposed of in a clinical sharps container immediately after treatment.
6. Clinical notes
GB 14 is the meeting point of the Gallbladder and Yang Wei Mai on the forehead. It is the primary local point for the forehead and brow region and is indispensable in Bell's palsy treatment to restore upper facial movement, combined with BL 2, GB 1, ST 6 and LI 4. Also used for frontal migraine and supraorbital neuralgia.
